GHANAVEG HORTICULTURAL TRADE MISSION TO GHANA

GhanaVeg, The Netherlands Africans Business Council (NABC) and GNBCC will organize a horticulture trade mission from the Netherlands to Ghana from Monday 12 to Friday 16 of June. The mission is open to all Dutch companies directly or indirectly active in the fruit & vegetable sector, that would like to set up or extend business activities in the Ghanaian fruit and vegetable sector. Ranging from companies active in fruit & vegetable trade, input-supply, processing-, irrigation- and greenhouse technology, packaging material & machinery and many more. Interested companies can apply now.

The 5-day mission to Ghana has the objective to explore business opportunities in the Ghanaian horticulture sector by providing insight in the fast growing local and export market for fruit and vegetables. Through company visits and matchmaking at the GhanaVeg Fruit & Vegetable Fair (14-16 of June in Accra), Dutch companies can directly be matched and connected to potential business partners. The program will consist of the following core activities:

  • Personalized matchmaking and individual appointments with Ghanaian companies and partners, based on the participant wishes
  • Visit to the GhanaVeg Fruit and Vegetable Fair (possible to rent a stand)
  • A reception hosted by the Netherlands Embassy in Accra
  • Field/company visits, to farms, green houses and other relevant sites
  • Visits to supermarkets in Accra (for example Shoprite and Game) and a meeting with these supermarkets’ buyers of fruits and vegetables
  • Meeting with the Dutch Embassy and relevant Ministries/ Institutions (such as the Ministry of Agriculture, Trade and Infrastructure and the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre)
